Daniel could have given up praying for a month, but it was so important to him that he risked getting thrown into the lion's den. Yet many Christians struggle to pray even when we don't face consequences. In this sermon we look at what prayer does, and how we should pray.

When people try to make themselves seem great, God humbles them. We see how God humbled both Nebuchadnezzar and especially Belshazzar. God doesn't tolerate pride because his kingdom requires humility. So as his people, we must seek greatness by humbling ourselves rather than trying to exalt ourselves. Questions for Reflection

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego faithfully stand for God when that faithfulness comes with dire consequences. They trust that God can deliver them.
