How does God show us his love for us? He pitches his tent with us. In the incarnation, Jesus shows us how God’s glory isn’t about riches, wealth or power, but instead he is glorified by showing how much he loves his children. God pitches his tent with the lowest and the least. If we understand that this is God’s glory, it affects the goals we pursue in life. Our glory can’t be wealth, success or power if we hold that Jesus is Lord and his is glorified in his loving and suffering service. So God asks us to pitch our tent with the lowest and the least, to be his incarnate presence with them.
